Noel Road, Birmingham today looking towards the tower of Edgbaston Waterworks. Along with Perret's Folly (left, out of sight) these two towers were considered to be the inspiration for Tolkein's Twin Towers of Middle Earth, Minas Morgul and Minas Tirith. Mary's family home no longer stands.
