Streets of St Pancras in 1930s

The housing conditions of Somerstown were reknowned for their vermin and lack of sanitation. An initiative to build new houses was led by Father Basil Jellico in 1930s. These giant vermin models were constructed and dramatically burnt prior to demolition.
